… offering work from 25+ local artists in a family-friendly environment ...

Participant minimums and maximums; cancellations and no-shows.

  • We have a minimum required registration of  3. If this number is not achieved by Friday, June 21 at 12 noon, this workshop will be cancelled and we will refund payments by cash, receivable at the gallery, or by check at the gallery or through the mail, or through reversal of Pay Pal charges. We regret that we cannot refund directly to credit and debit cards at this time.
  • We have a maximum enrollment of 8. This is to ensure adequate individual attention. This is a firm number; we will not have the supplies to accommodate "one more."  We will be disabling enrollment links as soon as we know this maximum has been achieved: in the unfortunate event that someone registers after the maximum has been reached but before the links have been disabled, we will offer 1) first place in the waiting line, and 2) refund by cash or check. Please note, your registration will not be considered complete, and you will not be considered to be part of the roster used to determine whether the workshop is full, until payment is received by the Gallery.
  • Cancellations by no later than noon Friday, June 21 will be fully refunded. No refunds will be granted after that point, unless we are able to fill the slot with another participant. No-shows the date of the workshop will not be refunded.

Description:

Workshop leader Jacqueline Rimmler will share a variety of collage techniques, and will demonstrate steps for creating a successful collage from a template or from a photo or imagined image. Two templates (one for a pair of sheep, and one for a bunny -- see images above) will be provided for participants to make their own design to take home, or participants can create a collage of their own unique design.

No art experience is necessary. Materials will be provided, but additional materials make the experience more fun. So, if you wish to contribute, you may bring interesting papers such as scraps of wallpaper or wrapping paper; magazines to cut up; ribbons, colorful tape, feathers, buttons, yarn, beads . . . or anything else you might like to use in your creative process, or to share with others. Also if you expect to choose to create your own design, instead of using one of the two supplied templates, please consider bringing a favorite photo that you can re-create as a collage.

$49 for 2 hour session, all materials supplied.

Designed for adults and mature teens age 16 and up.
